LUCKY'S GRILLE
About This Spot
Stepping into Lucky’s Grille feels like slipping into a familiar neighborhood nook where warmth and simplicity take center stage. It’s the kind of place where the pace slows enough for you to shed the rush of the day, yet hums softly with the quiet energy of steady conversation and clinking dishes. The modest space draws you in with its unassuming charm—a reminder that good food and genuine hospitality don’t need grand gestures to feel special.
The atmosphere here is intimate, underscored by thoughtful touches that make visitors feel cared for—a friendly exchange at the counter or a warm cup of tea offered without prompt when the chill of the morning bites. It’s these small human moments that shape the experience, inviting you to settle in and savor not just a meal but a sense of welcome.
Lucky’s Grille crafts its traditional American fare with comforting familiarity and honest flavors that resonate with the soul of a classic breakfast or lunch spot. Whether it’s the gentle crispness of home fries, the nostalgic richness of French toast, or a savory plate built around rotisserie chicken or jerk-spiced goodness, each dish carries an unpretentious delight. There’s a rhythm to the menu that nudges you toward staples done well, along with thoughtful options that reflect the diverse tastes of the community it serves.
For locals, Lucky’s has become a reliable go-to where the emphasis isn’t on big city flash, but rather on consistency and a sense of connection. The careful balance between attentive service and the modest setting creates a pace that encourages returning visits—whether you’re in for a quick bite or a quiet moment to yourself on a winter morning. This is one of those places where the feeling of being looked after and the steady presence of familiar flavors linger long after you’ve left the table.

It is a small place, not much space to sit down and eat. This was my 1st, but not last time going there. The nice Woman who took my order asked if I drank Coffee, and I said "No" so she offered me a nice cup of Hot Tea because it was cold outside and I was cold. I thought that was so thoughtful and it warmed me up! I had breakfast with Cornbeef Hash, toast/butter, home fries and scrambled eggs with cheese and they cooked the eggs to perfection! They were light and fluffy and seasoned well. I went after Church and it's worth a stop.

We got the French toast platter and the Belgian waffle platter. Definitely coming back! The quality of food and great price is the best I’ve experienced in the area! Strong 8/10 for me

My go to breakfast spot, with amazing customer service!

So I googled “good breakfast near me” and this place popped up, I decided to give it a try. The cashier was very friendly and professional. The food was pretty good; however, I wish I had a little more for the money. I’m not a home fries type of person but these were well seasoned; the pancakes were also pretty flavorful as well. The eggs were good but it was a bit skimpy (IMO). Overall I spent $18 which is a little on the high side compared to other spots I’ve been too but the quality, customer service and the ability to support a minority business was worth it. Check it out!

My husband and I needed to make a quick decision about where to eat and we REALLY like breakfast food. We were very "lucky" to have found Lucky's Grille and we were able to order food just before they closed! The only downside is that we almost could not pay for our food (that was already made) because of the cashier's concern on customers not wearing masks. I do understand the concern due to the impact of the pandemic but I do not think turning away a customer when their food is already made and standing at the door, may not be the best solution. The chef was kind enough to let us pay for our food and it was delicious! We will remember to bring our masks next time but I also recommend the staff implement some sort of curbside service for customers. Thank you again for the hospitality!

French toast was really good. Customer service great! Enjoyed my home fries too. Food came out hot! My son enjoyed his wings. Could use a little more salt and pepper on them and fries definitely need salt or switch to crinkle fries, but I get that maybe they want to keep the salt level low but didn’t taste any so, he wasn’t a fan, but we definitely will be back to try more though. Nice hidden gem
